Schecter Guitar research 12-string bass
Doug Pinnick worked with Schecter Guitars on this new 12-string bass, and the left-handed prototype was delivered to him in April, 2020. Doug stated, "I just got my first signature 12-string bass from Schecter Guitars." Pinnick currently endorses Schecter and plays a Schecter signature model 4-string bass.
This new 12-string bass looks very similar to Pinnick’s custom Yamaha 12, and for a good reason - the Yamaha custom shop generously supplied the specs! The model number is ‘dug Pinnick DP-12’ and “dUg” is inlaid at the 12th fret. It is available in right-hand and left-handed models on the Schecter website for $1,299.00. A hardshell case is available for $169.00.

Customized Basses
Philip Snyder’s customized Schecter 12-string bass. He played this bass in a Cheap Trick tribute show in Charlotte, North Carolina.

White vinyl covers the headstock, along with “Hi my name is Philip” lettering.
The checkerboard pattern lines up perfectly with the string groups.
