Trick News replaced the Cheap Trick Newsletter! as the official printed voice of Cheap Trick. While the early editions of Trick News contained only text and were photocopied onto colored paper, later issues were printed on white glossy paper and contained photographs. Various 12-string basses are shown although they are typically not mentioned in the articles. 8½” by 11” size.

The cover of the 8-page Spring / Winter 2007 issue includes the drawing of the Waterstone 12-string bass that was used on the Rockford album. It also includes a photo of Tom Petersson playing a Waterstone 12-string bass, plus photos of him playing a Chandler Royale 12 which is odd since his signature model Waterstone 12’s had been in use since late 2004.
