Hamer B12A DC 12-String Bass

The Double-Cutaway Hamer 12-string bass is considered to be the “prototype” of the model B12A. It has the round “sound hole” rout for the pickups like the B12A but a slightly different body shape. This bass was built for Tom Petersson, and his feedback about design changes resulted in the B12A becoming one of Hamer’s most attractive basses.

This bass wasn’t played very frequently on stage once the Natural B12A 12-string bass was completed for Petersson in January of 1979.
