This string set was referred to as the "TP Spec" set. Chandler did not reveal the name of their string manufacturer or the country of origin. New basses came with a spare set of strings.

A Lite gauge set was also available with fundamental gauges running from 40 to 95. Adrian Chandler stated about this string set, "A slight difference in size - a huge difference in performance."

  • Octave strings: G .016, D .022, A .032, E .042.

Strings included with a Royale 12-string bass.

Chandler octave strings had the smaller guitar-sized ball ends which were too small to work properly with tailpieces on some other brands of basses. This implies that these strings were of Korean origin. No string package or label was ever produced. Chandler strings were sold for $50.00 per set directly from Chandler Guitars.
