Pray
We talked to Michael Wagener, the producer of this album, about the effect used on the 12 in the intro to ‘Pray’. He told us, "That is a Guyatone WR3 Wah Rocker Effects pedal, a little purple stomp box."

The Big Picture
King’s X - Ear Candy
The headstock of Doug Pinnick’s Hamer 12-string bass is shown in the liner notes. No 12 was included on any of the songs.
King’s X - Live All Over The Place
While Doug Pinnick typically plays a 12-string bass on some of the songs included on this album, the sound is poorly recorded off the board and unevenly mixed, which makes it very difficult to distinguish which songs might include a 12. The inside back cover shows Pinnick playing a left-handed Black Hamer 12-string bass.
king’s X - The Bigger Picture
The CD consists of demo recordings for the band’s 4th album. The 12-string bass is pictured twice.
King’s X - Tales From The Empire
This two-CD live album was recorded in Cleveland, Ohio on June 26, 1992. The 12-string bass is clearly heard on “We Were Born to be Loved” and may have been used on other songs.
