Ballroom Blitz - Michigan’s Rock & Roll Fanzine

First published in 1975 in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Ballroom Blitz was promoted as “Michigan’s Rock & Roll Fanzine”. It offered articles and commentary about many current bands as well as groups from the early days of rock & roll. In 1978, apparently in an attempt to broaden their readership, the magazine’s name was shorted to Blitz and included the new byline “The Rock and Roll Magazine For Thinking People”. The magazine was published throughout the 1980’s.

In the March, 1977 issue (No. 19) of Ballroom Blitz, Cheap Trick is described as “one of the best new British bands of the last several years” and claims they hailed from Boston.
