Musicvox 12-String Basses

Musicvox Guitars was founded in late 1996 by Dr. Matt Eichen. The company is based out of Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Instruments are imported and sales are factory direct to the consumer. The first Musicvox 12-string bass was a custom Spaceranger 12 with a mirror finish that was built in 1998 for Tom Petersson. The Space Cadet 12's first appeared on the market in late 1999, with updated versions making their debut in 2011 then a version strung Inverted in 2012. The MI-5 model 12-string basses hit the market in 2014 and have quickly become one of Musicvox's most popular models.

Musicvox guitars and basses have been seen in magazines such as Rolling Stone, Guitar Player Magazine, Bass Player Magazine, Guitar World Magazine, Vintage Guitar Magazine, Guitar Aficionado, Premier Guitar, 20th Century Guitar Magazine and Bass Quarterly (Germany). They have also been featured in the major motion picture "Austin Powers - Goldmember" in the scene with Austin's band, Ming Tea, featuring Matthew Sweet, Susanna Hoffs, Chris Ward and Stuart Johnson. Mike Myers and director Jay Roach selected the Spaceranger guitar and bass for its unique, flamboyant 60's Euro styling. Famed Hollywood producer Dan Schneider featured the Musicvox Spaceranger guitar prominently on the fabulous set of his hit Nickelodeon TV show "Sam & Cat" starring Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy.

Musicvox has pursued an independent and novel approach to guitar design that has led to the prominence, notoriety, and worldwide recognition of the Musicvox brand and designs.
